The Problem: The factory configuration of the Horsch CO4 seed drill uses a specific sequence running from tine to disc to press wheel, ending with a final covering tine. To achieve a cleaner field finish, the operator wanted to completely remove the intermediate discs and utilize those vacant factory disc mounts to hang a secondary, angle-adjustable toolbar. This bar needed to host an extra set of spring-loaded covering tines salvaged from an Amazone drill, allowing the operator to perfectly level the seedbed directly in front of the rear press wheels.

The Solution: The customer designed a prototype adaptation bracket that locks directly onto the pre-existing Horsch disc mounts to safely hold the new custom toolbar. The design workflow was exceptionally fast: the client mocked up the exact shape required using a physical plywood template on the farm, scanned it, and sent it over. Within 10 minutes, and from hundreds of miles away, the wooden prototype was digitized. A fully accurately traced CAD was created. This allowed for it to be exported to a DXF file allowing the client to immediately order perfectly scaled parts from a local vendor using a CNC plasma cutter.
